Melissa Smith

The stay in 2007 at Dukes Hideaway, represents a rare gem we truly do not wish to share.  Selfishly, of course due to the experience that we that was simply phenomenal and amazing. Our gracious hostess - Ms. Pauline, has become one of our family.  My daughter was two years old when we began our journeys to Dukes Hideaway and at her vist of three years old, she affectionately embraced Ms. Pauline as if she was a member of our family that we can only visit periodically.   In that spirit, we were able to be fully self-expressed around Ms. Pauline, share in culinary duties, not due to her lacking or desire, but only because I simply cannot stay out of the kitchen.  Ms. Pauline's cooking is outstanding, filling, considerate and impeccable.   Relatedly, so was her housekeeping and attentiveness to our needs. Additionally, transportation and portage needs exceeded my expectations over our 2006 stay.  I was appreciative of the communication, follow-up and accomodations of "on the way stops" to meet our needs. The Dukes Hideaway location is considered our second home and although I recently changed careers to be a stand for my daughter, I am conscientious about our dollars to make future visits a reality.  In my past career, I traveled the world over and have experience every economic range of hospitality and accomodation, but honestly, no place ever touches my needs and heart and my family's like our stays at Dukes Hideaway.   In the 2007 visit, my mother, recovering from cancer, was able to join us in the experience.  Undeniably, I know, this experience provided gains to her health and her spirit.Regrettable, I am biased.....Dukes Hideaway and the related hospitality  shall selfishly be a gem I truly do not wish to share with anyone else.  But, if I must, please feel free to share this writing with others. Smile.
